Acts as liaison between purchasing, production, engineering and sales to develop and maintain a production plan that supports customer needs.
Maintains the master production schedule, reviewing daily to adjust for changes in customer requirements, production commitments and material availability; advises management of any changes affecting customer commitments and/or revenue forecasts.
Reviews materials availability in support of order scheduling, confirming procurement and delivery or materials as required; signs off on contract reviews.
Participates in sales department’s monthly/quarterly forecast meetings, weekly customer fulfillment meetings and production planning meetings as needed.
Manages safety stock levels of critical components and assemblies.
Assist in other materials department functions as needed.
Strong knowledge of automated purchasing/MRP systems within ERP, specifically SAP, Syspro etc.
Three to five years of ERP systems experience; three to five years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work well in a team environment with limited supervision/direction; highly organized, assertive and detail oriented.
BS degree in Supply Chain management, Engineering or related field is required. MS degree is a plus. Additional work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
APICS certification a plus.
Electronic manufacturing experience is an asset.
