Directed Energy Trade Show Trail: Find us at DE Summit, SPIE DCS, & DE2DC

As the use of lasers in a variety of markets continues to increase, we find ourselves on the road, meeting more and more innovative teams exploring the emerging laser markets for applications such as directed energy, automotive lidar, and direct diode heating

So, what's next on our list? Within the next couple months, you can expect to see a few of our team members at many directed energy and defense shows. After another strong growth year for the laser market, the need for laser-based weapons and solutions for the military continues to grow. In 2018, there was a substantial increase in military related laser revenue and projections for 2019 show continued growth (SPIE). Leonardo has been on the forefront of this innovation and continues to remain active in the conversations regarding laser systems, specifically directed energy adoption.

Find us at these upcoming military trade shows for defense laser systems:

2019 Directed Energy Summit
March 20 - 21, 2019
Washington, DC

We're looking forward to the 5th anniversary of this conference, and to discuss with other industry leaders the need to accelerate and adopt directed energy weapons for significant existing and emerging threats. Read our overview from last year's event where our President, Mark McElhinney, spoke on directed energy advancements.

SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing
April 16 - 18, 2019
Baltimore, MD, United States

This SPIE show always offers our team an opportunity to talk through emerging needs for sensing and targeting applications through beam shaping capabilities. On display, we will have our megawatt laser diode array and our high power near-infrared laser illuminator.
Find us in booth 825!

Directed Energy to DC Exhibition (DE2DC)
April 29 - May 2, 2019
Washington, DC

As another opportunity for our team to discuss directed energy adoption, our Sales Director, John Goings & Account Manager, Jason Fluckey, will attend DE2DC to meet with decision makers on the increasing capabilities of the technology.

On May 1, we will also have a booth at the Rayburn Congressional Building.

If you won't have a chance to catch us at one of these upcoming shows, feel free to contact our team with any questions regarding designing and building your laser-based system.
